This section explains how we use User’s personal data when they submit information via one of the three types of forms on this website.
Enquiring about a Franchise via www.How2Franchise.co.uk
We (How2Franchise) collect the information posted via this form. The information is shared only with the Franchise the user is enquiring about. At the point of submission, a secure email is sent to the Franchise with the information entered on the form. We never share / sell our user’s data with other third parties.
In due course the Franchise the user enquired about on this form will contact the user using the contact information given by the user. This is the only reason a user will be contacted as a result of enquiring about a franchise via How2Franchise.
We (How2ranchise) retain the information posted via this form for a period of 12 months. This is necessary so that How2Franchise is able to prove to our advertisers a user enquired about a Franchise via our website. The lawful basis for this is How2Franchise’s legitimate interests to monitor enquiries, where there is no disadvantage to the individual.

Signing up for our Newsletter
When a user signs up for our newsletter we will send them only emails on the latest franchise opportunities and news in the UK franchise industry,
We (How2Franchise) collect the information posted via this form. We never share / sell our user’s data with other third parties other than the email mailing company who sends out our newsletters. This company is called sendinblu.
Each newsletter sent has a clear unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email where a user can easily unsubscribe.
The data will be held only as long as a user is subscribed to our newsletter. A user can request what data is held about them by How2Franchise at any time and can request that the data be removed from How2Franchise’s database. Submitting a Question to our 3rd party Experts
The Experts on our ask the experts section are not employees of How2Franchise but third parties highly experienced in the UK franchise industry. Any question submitted will go only to that expert. The expert will use the details to contact the individual directly.
Permission to publish question checkbox. If it’s a question / answer that we feel maybe helpful to other User’s / Franchisees of the site we may publish that question on the site at a later date. We will contact you and ask your permission first if we would like to use your question.
The answer to a question will be sent back to the user by email only. This is the only email a user will receive a result of posting a question via our ask the experts form. We never share / sell our user’s data with third parties other than the expert the question is addressed to.
The information is posted securely and stored in our Database in a highly secure Data Centre in Reading, UK. This Data Centre is owned and managed by hostek.co.uk.
The data posted via this form will be held by How2Franchise no longer than 2 months. If published on the site the data will be held as long as question is on the site.
